Established Prestige:
Suburbs with very wealthy, well educated and professional families, living in larger houses. High levels of home ownership. Many children in non government secondary schools, dual family incomes, with high level of employment in Finance, Property and Business Services.
Desirable Suburbia:
Established better-off suburbs with many qualified and professional persons. Dual income households, with high levels of home ownership. Many persons 65+ years.
Urban Young:
Areas with many younger white collars workers and professionals, living in flats and other high density accommodation. Many rent, living as singles, couples or in group households. Many work in Finance, Property and Business services and travel to work by public transport.
Elderly Enclave:
Enclaves of older people. Particularly widows and retirees. Not necessarily poor. Many households with welfare incomes. Low vehicle ownership.
Multicultural Suburbia:
Established and stable suburban areas. High ownership of dwellings. Many married couples 55+ years old, and persons 65+ years. Many born in Europe and speak a European language.
Urban low income:
Low status urban areas. High level of people working in manufacturing, as plant operators or labourers. Many renting in flats or other high density accommodation. High use of train and other public transport.
